As a Asian person I have to say the food isnt that asian except for the part where theres chopsticks on the table. The food tastes alrite but to call themselves an Asian "legend" i'll have to say its an overstatement. One thing i didnt like was how crowed the tables were. I was wayy to close the the man next to me who was I might add, not on the same table as me. the waiters are very hansome looking however. I guess they always hire boys because of how tiring the job must be in such a busy restruant. The food came fast, which was also another plus.
This restaurant offers great food, great service and great prices. They specialize in Northern Chinese cuisine, so if you're wondering what to order, I'd stick to those items. They have wonderful steamed chicken or pork dumplings and noodles dishes. Their General Tao chicken is awesome. This place is always busy, so I'd opt to go early (before 6pm) if possible or get take-out.
We've been here many, many times and the food is ALWAYS consistently good! Very fresh and tasty. We go during lunch and although it's always busy, we never have any regrets (except going back to work way too full)!!!
This Restaurant is amazing. It has just begun to grow as it now has 3 or 4 restaurants in the GTA. I didn't visit this particular one, but the food and setting is the same at all of them. This kind of restaurant is fairly classy (nice lighting and decor), but the food is still cheap (like $10 a person). The idea is you order 2 dishes (one noodle/rice and one meat) and then you split each dish in half so that each person can have a bit of both. The food is delicious. If your ever in toronto and are looking for chinese food, this is the place to go. Theres another location on Dundas st. , right in the heart of china town.
Portions are average. Food is hit or miss. The Snow Pea Shoots was poorly mixed for example and half of it was very salty. On the other hand, the Fish Maw Soup was great. The food that was plain bad really brings down my opinion of the restaurant though. The service was slow, though understandable since the place was full. They forgot to ask us if we wanted rice. They took a very long time to bring tea. The servers were rude. They brought us the wrong type of Vancouver Crab from what we ordered and refused to take it back and make us the right one! We had to complain and say that we wanted to completely cancel the order. Finally, they gave in stubbornly. Last, they charged us twice for the crab. It took a bit of hair pulling to get them to take that off too. The AC is also too high so the food gets cold quickly- and it doesn't come out steaming hot in the first place. I would not recommend this place.
