My husband and I both ordered the ham and eggs breakfast, which came with toast, jam, and home fries. The ham wasn't greasy, the scrambled eggs were "real ", and the home fries were piping hot. Kudos to the cook in the kitchen. The coffee was hot, but too strong for my tastes. Charlene, our server, made sure our cups were topped up and that we were satisfied with our meal. Price of coffee is included in the price of breakfast, and if you're there before 11:30 there's a $1 discount per plate. We would definitely go again if we were passing through this area.
Went for breakfast with family. Seated at drafty table as dining room area had lights off, so had to take booth by door. Friendly enough greeting, then waitress just disappeared. Others who came in after us had coffee and orders taken before she brought our drinks. once ordered, didn' t take very long. We sent back eggs that were undercooked and then another plate that had hair in eggs. Mennonite bacon was great, homefries good, but eggs were not. Disappointing, as we had heard decent things. Lack of hairnets in kitchen was worrisome to me. Would buy the bacon to prepare at home, but likely won't eat there again.
For a small town country restaurant and down to earth staff, this is the place for breakfast. The food is good, the place is clean, not a huge variety on the menu but good enough for breakfast. We have been here many times and will return. Do not let simple and country style come across dirty or unclean :)
We recently moved to the area so we thought we'd try the local restaurant for breakfast. The food was not great, but not terrible (however I would not recommend the breakfast sausages). The tables were wobly (coffee spilling everywhere), the tea was served luke warm, the floors were dirty and the waitress seemed very stressed out with only 4 parties in the restaurant. I would not go back.
