Had breakfast there this morning, and it was okay. It came the way I ordered it. Server was pleasant and seemed she was trying hard to please. Breakfast itself was $3.85, and coffee was extra at $1.15.

Meal started with an ant running across the menu and everything went downhill from there. My wife ordered an omelet and, while the mushrooms were fresh (not canned), the cheese was processed cheese slices.
Our server was miserable. Our order was wrong. There were 2 waitresses there and the able bodied one seemed to have a very small section and the waitress who obviously had a hard time walking, and was extremely slow, (our waitress) had a considerably larger section and clearly could not keep up with what she had. We summoned the younger waitress (she seemed to have no tables) to refill our coffee, and the older disabled one seemed angry, and shot at her that "I will get them ". Funny, because up until that point she seemed not to care that we needed refills.
This place has an open kitchen so you can watch your food being prepared. (and listen to the cook swear and just be rude)
We waited longer than we felt necessary for our order to come and when we enquired about it our server seemed annoyed at us.
By the time we recieved our order(my brown toast was white, my sausage was switched for bacon and my husbands omelette was missing the cheese he ordered, and I never did get the glass of milk i wanted) we had decided we would never come back and quite frankly, I would discourage others from trying it. The food was still quite good, but I will go somewhere that has a pleasant smiling server.

Oh my goodness, I can't even describe how much I love Big Top. My fiance and I have been going there for 2 years, and are planning to go there with our wedding party for breakfast on the big day. The food is amazing, and you can watch them cook it. So you know they're not doing anything sketchy with your food. It's all about breakfast, I've never eaten another meal there. It's like family. Sometimes the service is friendly, sometimes not so much, but that's what makes it unique. If you want a hearty breakfast in the ghetto, go to Big Top! It's the best!
