This was our second visit to North China Buffet......

This was our second visit to North China Buffet. Our first time was for lunch and we were disappointed with the food quality. As it was a newly opened retaurant at that time, so we decided to give it a 2nd chance. On our 2nd visit, it was for dinner. The selection of dishes was limited with some bins being empty (this was early evening). Some of the food was cold and should have been warmer. The quality of the food was very disappointing. The selection of desserts was poor, with trays being empty. We will not be returning to this restaurant.

I had went into the buffet and had a long, thick black hair cooked in with my vegetables. I had told the waiter about it and he had asked for me to put it in the napkin so that he could show his manager. When arriving to the cash to pay, they charged me full price for my meal. I had asked the cashier if she were going to do anything about it, and she didn't know what I was talking about. She called for the manager who argueed that there was no hair in napkin that she could find. After making a scene and putting up a fight with her, she took a measly $3.00 off my bill. I was disgusted.

I used to love attending this buffet, but last...

I used to love attending this buffet, but last time I was very disappointed because the food bordered on "warm". I mentioned this to the manager, who smiled and nodded. Today, I went around 2:00 pm. The food was almost cold, they had not refreshed the food since lunch rush, and the service was horrible. We sat with dirty dishes on our table for about 15 minutes, and when we asked for our cheque, the waitress disappeared and reappeared about 20 minutes later. I will travel to Kingston from now on to their buffets. Well worth the drive.
