If I could give it 1/2 a star I would. Worst experience ever! Waited 45 minutes to get into the store. Made my way to Pax closets and then had to wait another 15 min to get someone to help me. We worked together on a design for our closet albeit very rushed by her. She gave me a code so that I could log in when I got home to finish the design only to find out she gave me someone else’s stupid code and it’s not my closet. Total waste of my time!!!!
Had a problem with my kitchen installation. I went to them for help 4 times over a period of 6 months. They promised to look into things but I never heard back. I payed extra to have things fixed myself. Horrible customer service.
I love Ikea! I have been a costomer sice it arrived in Calgary at its first location in the North East. I was thrilled when it moved to Deerfoot Meadows as I live in Parkland. I enjoy the inovative merchandise they keep producing which pove so workable in the home. Keep up the wonderful shopping experience. From a very happy costomer who owns many great Ikea products. Thank you, Valerie
Bought a bathroom sink/vanity...the plumbing included was missing a piece...my contractor went down there with the pieces and asked for the piece that was required...the guy brought out a box of spare parts and told my guy to find it...umm really ??? The piece was supposed to be in the flippin box .....not impressed
I had purchased 3 of the dressers on recall and my 5 drawer dresser that was my sons fell apart approximately last May , I had just spoke to customer service to see what they could do and they said they couldn't help because I didn't hang onto the broken dresser, if I would have known it was going to be on recall 1 year later I would have saved my broken dresser that collapsed, first of all how would I have known that if I can't predict the future. I'm disappointed in the customer service
Went to this IKEA looking for some bedding with some family, and we found a beautiful limited edition display collection. Wanting to know where we could find all the pieces to the set, we asked one of the IKEA workers for assistance, who I may add had a very heavy accent. Not understanding what exactly we were asking about, she told us to go look at the duvets by ourselves because she was too busy. After looking in the section and not finding what we were looking for, we then waited as she helped 3 other clients that came during the time we were trying to again ask for help. Finally after waiting she listened to us, only to interrupt us when her phone rang. Rather than asking the person on the phone to hold, she proceeded to tell us to stand there and wait because she 'couldn't deal with both of us at the same time,' after which she disappeared off into the store. Finally she returned and still did not understand what we were asking for. Rather then trying to understand she rolled her eyes and shook her head at us, at which time we were interrupted by yet another client. When we tried to report this to the manager, we were told that it was because it was the end of the day and, 'you know how it is.' Yes, right after we spent over $200 at their store.. We had taken a display pillow from the set since we could not find the pillow cover in the merchandise area, so the manager went to get us the actual pillowcase.. she brought us a different colour of pillowcase then what we had asked her for. I knew the colour wasn't right, but it wasn't until I got home that I realized that I was right-- it was a different colour of pillowcase. Thanks manager. You were helpful :/ Basically.. terrible customer service.. absolutely horrific. I will DEFINITELY avoid this IKEAS from now on.. even if I have to drive to Red Deer.
I love the furniture it's durable and it is a great price. I spend a lot of money everytime I go..
When i first moved to Calgary, ikea was the place to be. I had a very tight budget and little to no space. Ikea provided me with the space solution and the budget solution. This is great for students and like i said people on the budget. Plus you can get some pretty cool things for a good deal. Also they have a bargain side to check out. If you dont mind the odd scratch you can get a wicked deal on some furniture.
