the food is somewhat exceptional for a 'breakfast' joint. After 6 visits over almost three months, the wait service is hit and miss, but relatively friendly. Don't have a problem with your meal though as the owner wants NOTHING to do with customers that have concerns about cleanliness, food or service. If you don't mind some problems and don't care to mention them then Hot Stacks is for you.....really. And it doesn't matter the party size either.
Probably the best breakfast I have ever had at a restaurant. I have been back 5x this month alone!
The bacon is thick. Homefries are real potatoes and seasoned to perfection. I always order the bacon with 3 eggs, homefries and toast, with coffee. Total comes to just over $8.00. Free coffee refills and a fresh skewer of fruit (not a dried orange slice, but apples, pineapple, strawberry, melon, orange and sometimes even a gooseberry)!
The meal has always been served piping hot and the coffee never gets to the bottom.
I love it at Hot Stacks.
