We visited on Sunday for brunch and to celebrate a birthday. We have been here before and loved it so decided to take our out of town guests here to celebrate. They were so impressed with the Blackshop. We had intimate seating for the 6 of us. Several in our group ordered the eggs benedict and they were delicious! Eggs were perfectly poached. I have a permanent disability, and I came to this restaurant to celebrate my grandma’s 80th birthday. Our waitress was named Sarah and she provided our table with excellent service. She took all our orders properly, and had the food served so quick, considering we were a larger group. My 3 children were quite loud, and yet our server was extremely patient and tolerant of my noisy kids. Most waitresses would never be so tolerant. Dessert was very good also. We had a very good time. Visiting the Falls and the bar was a 5 minute walk from the motel. The girl serving us, Kristen, was friendly and fast...had our drinks in no time even though it was busy and she was the only server. Food came fast, hot and exactly how I like my wings and I'm fussy! Spoke with Tuna (Charlie maybe?) behind the bar and told him that if I lived here, this is where I would hang out...he bought my wife and I a drink, which we thought was excellent. Went back the next night and ate something completely different and it to was excellent. Four dinners in 2 nights with about 8 pints total including somewhat generous tips brought the 2 day total to $92 CDN...the place is inexpensive and the food is very good. Read more
