Tried Maison Publique for brunch and it was amazing! Rustic surroundings, great service and the food was delectable! I shared the full English breakfast (for 2) with my buddy and we were very satisfied. I highly recommend it!
Maison Publique is Jamie Oliver’s Montreal venture alongside popular Montreal chef Derek Damman. For brunch, the British gastropub serves a variety of English breakfast dishes like lamb curry, an English muffin sandwich, or the English breakfast for two, which consists of a heaping pile of different meats.
At Maison Publique, chef Derek Dammann offers a brunch menu that is both traditional and original. On the corkboard that serves as a menu, you will find, among other items, pancakes served with a chili garnish, boudin (black pudding), and eggs Benedict. The menu is short, but the portions are generous. Sharing the dishes is recommended.
On entering this restaurant, you could be forgiven for thinking that you were stepping into an English pub. La Maison Publique offers dish after hearty dish of Anglo-Saxon cuisine. Highlights of the menu include rabbit, a pork belly with polenta, and a lamb tartare.
