One word Journey man!!!!!!! Get it
My husband and a few friends have been there a couple of times.... We had to wait a little bit but that is standard for most restraunts when they are busy...The service was wonderful on each occation and the food was great as well. We had the fish and chip and it was totaly awesome... We look forward to going again and they also take reservations....
This is a nice spot however it needs some work to go from just ok to being great. Firstly from what I have seen, there isnt very good value for the price... ie: Chicken Wings... I dont mind paying almost 10$ for wings however I also dont expect to get 7-8 tiny wings for that price. If you go anywhere else in London you get 8-10 jumbos for the same price. THEY ARE GOOD WINGS BUT LOUSY VALUE! Drinks are overpriced big time. I like the place but price compared to value is a problem.
$ visit in 6 months. 3 outta 4 times food returned. 1/2 Frozen veggies with meatloaf dinner. I asked waitress if frozen veggies used and the answer was no. She took meal away and never asked if they could do anything. I asked if they used frozen food and she said no. When i asked manager later he confirmed use of frozen food. Next was a bison burger. It was red in mdlle and definitely undercooked according to kitchen and bartender. They took price burg off bill but still charged me for the side which i only had a mouthful until i got to raw burger. Got the wings and asked for weel done and got half cooked greasy overpriced wings which i returned and still had to pay for a pint (6.75 wow) which i only drank 1/4 of. Way overpriced drinks and bad food. Hopefully they figure it out
First timer, my wife and I enjoyed the atmosphere, nice place, a t.v. every where you look, server was cool, made us feel welcome, I ordered the chicken bacon carbonara (spell right?) first bite was a whole, completely uncooked mushroom, cold in fact, at first I thought it was maybe suppose to be like that but as I ate another one and it was just as uncooked I knew that was a mistake, yuk, I ended up not eating any and took it home in a doggie bag and cooked there...interesting new way to eat out, should have asked my meal to be take out...server took 50% off the price of the dish
First visit based on a recommendation will be our last. Went on a Tuesday at around 7:30 PM and had to wait at the bar for 20 minutes. No problem. Were seated at a table for 6 and there was just two of us. Took a while for our waitress to arrive. Ordered and received our entrees before our appetizer/salad! We had the chicken wings which were inordinately small but at least half price. Caesar salad and potato skins were run of the mill. Soft drinks were $3 each and a cheesecake dessert was $7. I guess they have to make money somewhere. Our waitress was pleasant but not particularly attentive. To pay by debit you have to go to the back of the restaurant where the cash register is as they don't have mobile units (yet?). All in all not worth it and won't go back. There was nothing special about it.
I got together with a girlfriend for an early movie then we thought we would check out the new restaurant. It was nice to have a place close to the theatre. Service was slow and it certainly wasn't busy. My glass of red wine was so warm that I thought they had it sitting beside the stove. My caesar salad came with rotten lettuce in it, about 3 croutons and no dressing. My slider came with no condiments. I waited a few minutes and couldn't see a server anywhere. I had to get up and find one in the bar area. The place is beautiful looking but I am unlikely to go back. Their dessert menu looked yummy but we opted out as we figured it too wouldn't live up to the visual. Shame It could have been great!
First time visit. The service was great, and there was plenty to choose from on the menu. The food was very tasteful and the presentation was beyond what you would except of a restaurant in this price range. The atmosphere was casual and fun. Our kids enjoyed being able to watch cartoons while we waited for the meal to arrive. We ordered the Nachos to start, and we were amazed at the large portion. We had the balsamic chicken and the meatloaf for our entrees, while our kids had slider hamburgers -- and they finished them all up. We will definitly return, for the strawberry funnel cake. What a pleasant addition to our neighbourhood. Westmount needed this. Very nice to have a wonderful new restaurant in the area.
I have lived in the Westmount area all my life and passed by the building everyday watching it being built. I was really looking forward to eating in this new restaurant. We got there at 8 PM and had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. There was tables available but the staff decided to chat instead of clean up the 4 dirty tables. The service wasn't great. We told our server that we were ready to order when we got seated and she still insisted on giving us another 5 minutes with the menu. Took about 20 minutes for our appetizers to come out which is a little slower then average. I ordered the 3 piece sliders. I was expecting it to come as pictured on the menu on a skewer. It was served on long plate that came fresh out of the dish washer. So fresh that they didn't have time to dry the plate. This turned my mini burger buns into mush. My father has soup as an appetizer however they didn't deliver it with a spoon. At this point the owner had decided to take over. It took him 4 minutes to find a soup spoon. My mother's salad had brown spots on the lettuce. We paid our bill and left. It's a shame I was really looking to having a nice local restaurant in the Westmount Shopping Centre area. I will definitely not be returning. There is a good reason why Joe is shoeless, with such poor service how could he afford shoes. :)
