We ordered East Sides for Mothers Day and we were not disappointed!! We usually don't order out on big holidays as we know everywhere is crazy busy but we decided to treat ourselves this year and are glad we did. Portion sizes were spot on, food was hot and delicious and the staff were amazing. Great job!! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend and will be back!
Will not take reservations due to COVID-19. Find this extremely odd, as other restaurants require reservations. Other East Side Mario restaurants take reservations. Will not be eating at the Brantford East Side Mario.
Very disappointed with tonight’s meal. Ordered pasta with meat sauce for my son like we have a dozen times. Pasta and sauce looked like a chilli blob even the second time around after calling to complain. Tasted straight out of the microwave.
5 stars isn't enough, had a really amazing visit with great food, amazing service and over the best experience I've ever had thanks Eastside Mario's Brantford, will be back forsure
The service was wonderful. Waiter very friendly and accomodating. Food preparation was a bit slow. Enjoyed the food and experience tonight.
Fabulous lunch. Excellent service. Thanks Rylea
Very embarrased at the service we recieved today! I had family from out of country with me and i raved about ur establishment. Unfortunately it took over an hr to get a kids meal and 3 adult meals...14 month old was ready to go...we had i guess a manager apologize but nothing even offered for the wait..not even $5 off our meal...i can honestly say that the last few times i have been in there the service has been terrible. So many other restaurants to choose from so i will not ever go back to brantford location!
I recently went to East Side Mario's with a group of friends and really enjoyed it. I had a feeling of privacy in the booths which was nice to just sit and talk with friends. The food was fast and it was well done. I usually don't try new things, but I decided to tried Mario's Classic Chicken Parmigiana and loved it! The chicken was perfect and the sauce wasn't too much. The waitress was courteous and helpful, but didn't keep bugging us, which was very nice. She was also smart and efficient when we were trying to figure out who was paying for what dinners! East Side Mario's environment had a feeling of comfort and warmth which made the meal that much more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend East Side Mario's for dinner!
I have been to East Side Mario's several times however, this last time wasn't as great as it has been in the past. It was crammed, with kids screaming and waitresses scrambling to get everyone's orders. The food was adequate, my cheese cappelletti tasted overcooked, and the ceasar salad didn't have enough dressing on it. The waitress didn't come once to check on us during our meal. The prices aren't too bad, but the food isn't anything to rave about. This is definitely microwave style, I could get better staying at home.
I hadn't been to an East Side Mario's in quite some time, due to some bad experiences in the past (at other locations) but I was out of town meeting my vegetarian friend for a Christmas visit. East Side's is a place that has several options for her, so off we go. Please note that the price range I chose reflects that we were drinking cocktails as well. Food - very good. Between us, we had Calamari Fritti (which surprisingly did NOT have the consistency of rubber bands as it so often does at chain restaurants...I polished off most of it by myself), house salad and bread, and Cheese Capiletti (with jalapenos added - yum!) No complaints on any of the food at all. Cocktails were very good and nicely presented. Service - this is what impressed me the most on our visit. We received absolutely spot-on service from Sue, an obvious veteran of the restaurant biz who told us that she has, in fact, been waiting tables for over 30 years! It shows...in a VERY good way. Sue was the type of server who somehow shows up precisely when you need her, brings everything exactly as you want it, and by the time you dig in to your entree, you're good friends for the night. If you go, I would recommend that you ask if she is working and to sit in her section, as she was amazing in every possible way. When you are done, tip her at least 30% - she deserves it! Sue, if you (or your boss) read this, we were the 2 ladies with 6 huge bags of Christmas gifts to exchange who stayed all afternoon! If that is not specific enough for the season, I also wrote down the name of the book we were talking about for you, and I do hope that you read it because you would love it! :) Thank you for never making us feel rushed, even though we stayed forever, and for taking such good care of us - you made our day! (for those interested, the book was Waiter Rant...a must-read for anyone who has ever waited tables) All in all, a lovely afternoon with great company, good food and amazing service. My faith in ESM (at least this location) has been restored. We will definitely be back next time I am in Brantford, and asking for Sue!
East Side has to be my favorite place to eat. Great food, good meal sizes, decent dinning area. There Steak and Pasta is amazing and there unlimited salad and bread is awesome.
food and service was good except we needed a fly swatter for all the fly's that were let in from the servers and customers going in and out to the patio......if there is that many fly's in the dining area how many fly's are in the kitchen?
I do not like this place. Why do people rave on about it? The pasta was overcooked and the meatballs in the famous Italian wedding soup taste like dog food. I'm sorry, but this is not good Italian food.
The food was really good and the waitress was friendly and frequently asked us if we would like refills and more salad and garlic bread. The new buliding is really nice and classy looking. Good value for your money here!
Looking forward to a girls night out with the kids.....get there early so we don't have to wait 40 mins to be seated. And we go hungry. We get seated right away. And that is where we wait- for over 1/2 hour with several serverswandering around looking for something to do. You would think that menus at the end of the table , no food and scowls on our face that maybe we were ready to order. Apparently not!! We had to flag a server down , Pam, who was the only reason we stayed. She was the server for the other side of the restaurant. Anyways she appologigized and insisted she would take care of us, although we should have left. She said she notified the manager who was supposed to come and talk to us. Guess what- no sign of her any where thoroughout our entire meal. There is a surprise!! The meal totalled 67.00 , you would think that you wouln't have to flag down your own waitress. Food was good but daughter went home and was sick-immediately. Pam was the only saving grace for the night. What a dissappointment. Folks maybe if we stop showing up there maybe they won't be too "busy " to serve those who do. Not happy- 2 thumbs down.
The last time we were there, it was very loud, the steak was terrible but the service was good. We will try it again to see if they have read all those comments here but food better be better otherwise it will be our last visit as well.
My husband, daughter and myself visited this restaurant for dinner. We waited while the server took a good 10 minutes to clean off a table with us watching. She actually sat in the booth while she wiped the table. After all that, the table was dirty when we sat down! My husband and I ordered our entrees which came with the salad and bread, our daughter ordered only the pasta. When the salad arrived (individual bowls), my daughter had TWO bites of my salad. Within minutes the server was at our table informing us that the manager had seen this and she would have to charge us for a side salad!! First of all, I don't appreciate being under surveillance when I'm eating, and secondly it's MY food and if I want to share a few bites I will. I understand there are probably people who take advantage of the unlimited salad but it's not like she didn't order anything to eat and I didn't give her my salad and order another. We have been customers of East Side Mario's for many years although have never been to this location. Managers take note-you might think you're saving your company money but think about the long term consequences of your actions. We will never be back
The service was really great here, our waitress was very patient and very helpful and went the extra mile. The food is great and what else can I say about unlimited garlic bread and Caesar salad!
Worst service ever with below average food. It epitomizes the worst about chain brand restaurants and confirms why I don't usually eat at these type of restaurants.
Food was awesome; our waitress was fast; and very helpful with any questions we had. Food was served quickly.
