We have found the atmospher, light and cheerful, and everyone seems to be having fun. The Waitress's are cheerful, and quick. The food and prices are good. We go there quite often.
Server was good and friendly as I noticed other servers were the same. Food was really mediocre. Barely warm appetizer. Tasted like canned mushrooms. Very good SW style soup. 2 whitefish dinners. Dry and flavorless. Fish is easy. How do you ruin fish? Overcook, over batter. Really poor for the price.
Unfortunately the view is no where near enough to make up for the overpriced, freezer burned food that was served to us for over $20/plate to make it worse the average service was nothing compared to the extremely arrogant managment/owner who didn't want to hear any feedback from his customers at all With an attitude like that he'll find himself with no complanints at all...as he'll have no customers at all There aren't enough tourists to go around to fill all his seats without the locals,,,so he should watch out
A friend and I visited Dock's for a quiet evening out. The restaurant is lovely; the view of the river is fantastic. Our waitress tried very hard to make our visit a nice one. The food, though, was just not very good. It didn't complement the aesthetic of the restaurant at all. In other words, the restaurant is lovely, the food is not. As much as I'd love to go back for a romantic dinner with my hubby, it is far too expensive - especially given the quality of food.
We dined here after a the train trip up to the canyon. We had the best cream of chicken soup ever. Great view of the river, locks and bridge back to the States. Thank you for a great experience.
Beer selection limited. The "trout" was excellent -- for catfish. Waiter and crowd was uppity, i.e., way to high an opinion of themselves for a rather commonplace eatery whose only attraction is the waterfront.
Docks is my all time favourite place to eat when I visit the Soo. We always have great service and amazing food. The servers there are the kind of people that if they have a second, they'll stop and chat with you! It's great. My family and I always walk out with a smile on our faces :) If you visit the Soo and you dont go here... you're missing out BIG time.
The food was amazing and very tasty, the service was great. Server always had a smile and was on top of everything. Over all pleased with the whole night.
the view, food, service and atmosphere is amazing. this place is a must see it seems to be very up to date with remodeling and menu will return often some of my other favourite rest are no longer my favourite
Dock's has a great view and the patio is one of the best in the city. The interior with high ceilings makes it very unique. I find the prices comparable to other restaurants but Dock's menu has a lot of choice and variety to please everyone. You can find higher or lower priced options. I have been to Dock's many times and we have always been impressed with our meal. There are some great choices for dessert as well and a good wine list. We have always had good-great service. We will continue to go back regularly. Great entertainment spot too.
We went for hubby's b'day dinner ! The food was GREAT as usual and the service was FANTASTIC ! YUMMMMMMMY Deserts too !
Service and food was amazing. The appetizers were large portions and priced well. The menu was very extensive which was good because you had a lot of options. The entrees were very tastey and were good portions as well. I was very impressed. The view from the windows at night was absolutely gorgeous!
Are food was good, there was not really a problem in that area. Our service was terrible, we were scolded like school children by our waiter. Our party was large, we had 14 people, but we had also made reservations, and I believe we were his only table. Over half of the people at our table have served tables or bartended at some point in their life, and totally understand what it's like to have a big table. We were patient in other words. Our waiter argued with numerous people at the table when they attempted to order drinks, "You will just have to wait for that drink, I NEED TO MAKE YOUR SALADS." At the end of the night he told us he knew the "service was poor," but that he knew we were attending an event, and wanted to get us out in time "tonight just wasn't the night, maybe next time people." It wasn't that our food was bad, or things didn't happen in a timely manner, our waiter was just plain rude! Since when do you work in an industry serving people, and not have any personality. Honestly, your personality is how you make your money, if you haven't figured it out by now you best get a new job! Don't argue with your customer's, leave the table first, and complain about us in the back to your co-workers. We probably will not go back any time soon.
We got a garlic bread app to begin with which was very good. However my partners meal was horrible. She asked for no onions and no peppers (allergic) We specificlly said for the wrap to have no peppers or onions. We we get it of course there were tons of onions and peppers and even after she picked them out she found a hair inside of it.I got pasta but it seemed some hair fell into mine as well not to mention someone elses salad becasue there were more vegtables in my pasta then pasta iself. The waitress apoligized but never ame back after we talked to her about the wrap. I literally had to get up anf find my check from soeone. I was very disapointed and everytime i've gone before it's been the same way. Working in this industry it makes me even moe upset to see what their getting away with. I plan on never going back
The mozzarella sticks were terrible. They tasted like they had been sitting for some time. The salad and fries were much better though. The burger was overcooked. The service overall was alright, they seemed distracted but overall I would go back if friends wanted to go, but I would not reccomend it.
The salad was excellent, the balsamic extrusion dressing is the house signature dressing and worth ordering. Fifteen tiger shrimp! fresh and flavourful with a tangy sauce. The potatoes were creamy, flecked with red skin, just the right note of garlic. Portion was very large, unable to finish. Steamed vegetables, fresh and crispy broccoli, baby carrots and red pepper. Dessert, make sure you share this one - sizzling in its own mini fry pan, delicate apples in an oatmeal crisp with caramel drizzle and vanilla ice-cream, what more can I say.
The waitress was excellent, the food was perfectly done, service was quick and the dessert was to die for. Definately a great place to eat!
the food was ok wasint the greatest thing in the worls but it was wayyy to expensive for 3 small peices of fish and a little bit of mashed potatoes and a little bit of vegitables to im not sure if i would go back mabe if the lower the prices on some of the items on the menu
