Very rude! Tried to make an order by phone, couldn’t hardly understand what the man on the other line was saying. Quick one word answers, then said they were closed for the whole summer. Ridiculous! Wong’s 2 Go Can Go!
I went to Wongs specifically because I wanted to try their Schezuan food on my asbestos tongue. I'm afraid that Wong's and I don't agree on 'Schezuan' food. The heat is watered down until it is scarcely more than that of any other dish on the menu.
People who would be interested in eating a wide variety of Chinese foods would be advised to buy the cookery books of such good authors as Pei Mei or Irene Kuo.
Wongs makes North American Chinese cuisine. It is quite fine if your travels haven't taken you far. I would charitably give it 3 stars.
My husband and I visited this restaurant yesterday on a chance travelling through Leamington on our way home. It was quite but got busy while we were there. It was only 5 p.m. The owner was extremely pleasant and friendly. She makes her own egg rolls which were plump with filling and home made plum sauce. The Wonton Soup was very good. She told us everything is made fresh on order through the week with a buffet on Fridays. Even though she was taking phone orders and serving us and two other groups, the service was excellent and prompt. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and had enough to take home with us. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area. We would love to go back soon.
